Megemlékezés az 1848-as szabadságharcról - 1848 Revolution commemoration

Több mit százan gyűltünk össze a Hall of Nations-ben az 1848-as forradalom és szabadságharc évfordulóját megünnepelni.

More than 100 Hungarians gathered this evening in the Hall of Nations to celebrate the anniversary of the 1848 revolution and freedom fight. We started first with the delicious dinner. Sandor Nagy, the master cook, who was introduced to the members by our president, was highly appreciated for the "marhaporkolt".

The commemoration was held by Rita Dunn, who honored the influence of the revolution to the Hungarian present and future. Arpad Tota recalled the events of March 15 in English, Peter Marton summarized the historical background in Hungarian. At the end Attila Tota recited the poem "Nemzeti Dal" from Sandor Petofi with deep empathy in both languages.
